Congrats man!
I'm not a piper, but I am a Scottish side drummer and just let me be the first to offer you this advice: Just keep plugging away at it. It may seem like you'll never "get it" or progress, but it happens slowly but surely, you'll be playing before you know it. All it takes is effort.
I remember when I started going to see my current private instructor, it was a real epiphany. I'm almost OCD about how I practice now. Everytime I go it just re-energizes my passion for playing.
Anyway, welcome to a great hobby! And one that definitely encourages kilt wearing!
Oh yeah, everyone check this out! If it doesn't give you chills, well, then there's something wrong with you!
