Finally wore the Kilt to school and work
I finally did it, today I am wearing my Kilt to work and school. So far it has been meet with little in the way of derogatory coments, did have one ask if it was a pair of skorts though, a few odd looks, and a general sense of confusion in the office I work in but none of those are out of the ordinary for me. So it has been a good experience thus far. We will see what the eye doctor thinks this afternoon.

Congratulations A923! It's much more comfortable to wear. And don't even talk to me about "jeans" day. Ugh.
The same thing happend to me yesterday. I went home at lunch and was thinking that as I was going out pubbing with some friends last evening I would take a kilt to the office and change at the end of the day. Then I said "Why?" and simply changed into an Irish Sweater, kilt, hose, hiking boots and Freelander and went back to work.
I'd been threatening my team mates with this for a while so I walked right into my boss's office and said "See, I wasn't kidding". I thought his eyes were going to pop out. He just laughed and said "hang on, there's a smarta$$ Scot in my office". (due to a blue tooth thingy I didn't know he was on the phone.) He looked at me and "nice, now go away". I just grinned and told him he'd see another one on St. David's day then went to scare everyone else.
Quite fun.

I would worry about the assistants. I've worn my kilt to the dentist a few times..and the whole place pretty much stopped until I left. complete and utter chaos.

Now THERE'S another assault on human dignity! SKORTS!!! That's like asking you to eat your haggis with a flippin' SPORK!!!
That having been said, congrats! Keep wearing it more and more places more and more often, and you (and everyone else) will be more and more comfortable with it!
