In Australia, "Mountain Dew" doesn't have caffeine. Period. My American wife informs me that "Mountain Dew" actually has caffeine in it in the 'States (how strange?!).
And 'the Land of Oz' is a long way from Canada! ;)

Ok so maybe the Mountain Dew comment should be changed to "You know you are in a British Colony when the Mountain Dew has no caffeine", not sure though, to tell you the truth the only reason I put that one down is I remembered they put caffeine in Mountain Dew in the States.

That is the proper pronunciation! You're just used to hearing the Jamaican inflection down there in Southern Ontario.

You can actually get Mountain Dew with caffeine now: they sell it as an energy drink rather than as a pop.

In the states mt dew has more caffeine than other cokes/sodas/pops/whatever you call it. Yet another reason why I couldn't live up there.

Like I say, you can still get caffeine in your Dew here, if you are so inclined. Me, I'll just stick to a good cup of tea. Nothing like a good tea: nice, sturdy drink.

OMG!!!! I didn't know that many people are from Sudbury. My ex was born and raise there. I have the 'pleasure' of visiting Sudbury 3 times and the last was Christmas 2005.
