Ahhh, well I'm always looking for a place to show off my two toys. The green Mustang is a 2001 Bullitt Edition Mustang. A one-year only model that was inspired by the 1968 movie called Bullitt starring Steve McQueen. The silver car is my real passion, a 1968 American Motors AMX. A rare car, even in it's day with a three year (1968-1970) total production of less than 20,000. The only other car to compare it to at the time was the Chevrolet Corvette because of its two-seat configuration. This example is Turbo Silver with red interior. A 390 CID motor with an automatic transmission makes it scream. The car is still going through its restoration, but that's the fun of the hobby. Actually, I don't think it'll ever be done.

					pipebear333,
Those are two very nice machines.

I would love to get a set of Bullitt wheels for my 95 GT, but that would cut into my kilt spending funds so I'll just admire them on yours.

 Cheers

Thanks ccga3359, a snake skin print it is - on pigskin. Please do not ask me to confirm the 'brand' of snake as I am just not into such things! Here is a close-up which, I think, shows the quality of the leather itself:

I am surprised you have not seen this one before, Rob - much was made of it when I acquired it back in August last year!

man, do I have a bike for you...

The upright riding style is great, when you can get your heels underneath you (in-line with your spine)...the best bike I have found for this is the BMW R1150 GS. It is the all-around perfect machine, with cantilever brakes in the front end; the bike squats downward, rather than forward and down, when you mash the front brake. It has 7" of clearance and is multi-purpose. Would make a great companion to a trip across Scotland...in fact, I may do just that.

Hamish, and Robin, you may be on to something in regards to not being a car fan. I sometimes wish I didn't have to mess about with maintenance, insurance, fuel prices, and whatnot. An auto is almost a necessity these days. Especially so, if you live in the rural areas that I am originally from.
Having said that, I think I woulld be hard pressed to give up on motorcycles. I really enjoy riding!

A car IS a necessity where I now live Matthew, but that does not mean I know anything about what makes it work! On the other hand, I do enjoy driving once I am behind the wheel, but would much prefer that I didn't have to be there in the first place!
