Now that's a great story and a class act. How cool. I'm sure your freinds appreciated it, and the folks gathered had probably never seen a kilted man before or heard the pipes up close and personal.

Its what they wanted! Very cool.
I've been searching for pics that integrate the kilt with the western look, there are few out there. Reason, hoping to make Festival of the West in Phoenix the 17th and will be at Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque in April.
Biggest hassle is western boots with kilts come off looking like Dale Evans to me. One pic the guy wore white kilt hose pulled up with a skien dubh to set off the hose and the boots.
I finally decided to just forget trying to integrate the looks and just go kilted as I normally would.
But your post gave me the idea of maybe just adding the western hat. Thanks for that.

Maybe the bevel at the top of the cowboy boots is the biggest problem? A flat topped boot might look better.
