    I was surprised by what he states he was told by the woman doing the fitting:

    "said it was best for a novice not to "go regimental," as they call it. She mentioned something about hives and rashes and that we weren't used to such activity, let alone cut out for it."

    Are these kilts made of wire wool?

    I think the lady that was doing the fitting has no clue about kilt wearing. Kind of makes me wonder if she is qualified to do the fitting. He should have gone to Stillwater Kilts and have one made to fit properly. Not sure how far he lives from Minneapolis though.

    Shown up to a Scottish wedding in a Pakistani kilt? Not much realism in that!

    But here's my take on the article: yawn. There was nothing eduational or insightful about it and he didn't relay anything about what he learned or appreciated about this new experience. He should have saved that article for his next family news letter.
