    Thanks for another great photo tour. The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess' Grandfather was a bomber pilot in World War II and stationed in England. I never had the pleasure of meeting him before he died. I spent an interesting afternoon with my wife's grandmother where she brought out his dress uniform and his flight logs. It was amazing to read about these long grueling and very dangerous missons summed up in just a few very concise sentences.

    This museum is a wonderful reminder of when great deeds were done on a daily basis.

    My fathers wings. He was with the 8th Air Force as a tail gunner in a B-17. My favorite kilt pin.

    You're very fortunate. My dad was a navigator and from what he's told me those tail gunners and the belly gunners were the ones who most often didn't make it back.

    Thanks for sharing the pics! I have wanted to make it out to Duxford since my first trip 'cross the pond in 2003 but I have never made it work out.
