I do thank you all for your input but I think I opened a can of worms inadvertently. I admire and respect each and every one of your responses but it seems that there is no "Rule of Thumb" where I should or shouldn't wear the cover. I sincerely hope no feelings have been harmed due to this thread. I understand now that it is a matter of choice and can respect that. I am a Kilted Newbie and will try my best to glean from you all what I should and shouldn't do whilst kilted. This one seems to be very open ended and should be left to personal feelings and ideals.
