Wedding = New Cilt
Some very close friends of ours who have been together for a long while are going to get married later next year. I have been asked (told more like it) by the bride that I must attend Cilted. So, we've done a bit of hunting and Elaine and I have found this .. its called Celtic Spirit. Grey n black

Although I can't afford to get one made at the moment this is the tartan that my new Cilt will be made in. Its a modern design, but Elaine thinks its really cool .. and now the bride to be thinks its a real 'groovy' one too, and she has'nt long emailed me to tell me, I gotta go for it! I really like it as well, by the way.
They are having their 'official' engagement party tonight. I will undoubtably be the only one Cilted out of the 45 people who will be going. I'll take plenty of pics ... I shall be taking several bottle of Moorland Specled Hen and Elaine a few bottles of Magners.

I really like that one. Very nice.
Hopefully you'll enjoy wearing it, too.

Derek I have that tartan and I love it. Although I have to say that the quality of the construction is quite poor. The straps have to fight to get through the buckles and are flimsy quality. But the tartan is lovely and great for formal/semi-formal events.

Derek, nothing like a good reason to invest in a new kilt...guid on ya!
That's a nice tartan and you'll be able to match a lot of things to it so it'll be very versatile. I just picked up a very nice grey suit (yeah, with p@nts...one of those) that'll be my official "interview" suit while I go back out into the workplace. But...going back to a 9 to 5 job will also provide me witht the excuse to pick up a nice day jacket and vest so I can wear the kilt to work. It's good when circumstances allow us to expand our kilt wardrobes.

Derek - looks very similar to the Pride Of New Zealand tartan. See: http://www.tartansofnz.com/ponz.htm
That is one on my 'wish list'

Derek,
Nice looking tartan. Not that you needed an excuse to get a new kilt but good for you. And give our best to the happy couple!

Very nice. And just about any thing will go with the gray. Have fun at the party!

Wow, I normally don't like modern tartans, but that's pretty awesome! You've got to get a cilt made in that tartan!
