OK, OK....I will publish the skirt manual unless the Mods glare at me real hard. I'll put it up for download for free BUT...

...when it's ready, you'll have to PM me for the the URL, I won't publish it on the forum.

    I'll announce when it's ready.

The F-H.C.A.G. is right. There's no need to rush to my defence here. Of course you all can express your opinion on whatever issue, including the appropriateness of DIY on this forum, but after an hour or two or private low-level grumpiness, my ego and psyche is handling this event just fine. No reason to turn it into WW III.

Let's get back to wearing, buying, making and talking about kilts.

This is an issue that has been handled with extreme grace by Alan, and I think there is no need for animosity towards the moderators, or towards any kiltmakers because of this.

Alan has proven to be an adept instructor in this area, and quite a formidable procedure writer.

Thanks for your efforts Alan, I know we will all appreciate it!

Update: I'm about 1/3rd of the way through the instructions. I'm changing the method of construction slightly from what the F-HC.A.G. and Girlfriend Jamie and Lovely Lora got. I'll be auditioning the new stuff on Tim C's girlfriends skirt, which will get made tonight and next Wednesday night. It's nothing new or different, mostly just a change in how I do the waistband. I just need to get the specifics straight in my head.

Figure about 3 weeks, more or less.

Hopefully it'll have instructions that say "No, you may NOT wear jeans under such a skirt"

My wife can't wait to make a kilt. I can't wait to see the mess! Just kidding, if she can figure out how to change the chain switch in a ceiling fan fixture all by herself, she can make a skirt.
