Yes, how wonderful that she wants to show you off (at an age when often parents can "do no right." Have a wonderful time and we look forward to a picture!

Actually Shay, this is her third one of these. At the first one she took her Uncle, and the second she took her grandfather. We've been joking that she's going to get a reputation for always having a different man.
And yes, there will be a photographer at the event.

Cool- I had an idea if you're game- if she gets a plain white dress, the can wear her tartan (in handy silk scarf form) as a nice sash, too.

Congrats! That certainly beats my 13yr old begging me NOT to wear a kilt to any of her school functions. There's always a muttered "I'll DIE of embarrasment!" She cant wait for me to wear it out to dinner etc, but not around her peers please!

Are you taking your date out to dinner before or after the dance?

.... I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully with pics to follow. (I don't really have many pics of myself, I'm always the one behind the camera).
I'll wager you a pitcher o' Guiness that the photos taken by the Lassies in Scout uniform will be aplenty! And may if you can find a mini memory card or flash drive, you'd be able to get digital pix instantly (from a willing donor, of course)!!

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
