    The building we already had was more than fine; It was a beautiful building with a proud history.
    And there is NO EXCUSE for how much the new building cost.

    It's very much a "Curate's Egg" - good in parts.

    But overall it's a pretty ugly monstrosity, especially given the setting in which it is located and the cost of building it was totally criminal.

    I am not sure whether Arlen is referring to the original Parliament building or the Royal High School which was the temporary home and which now appears to be going to rack and ruin.
