Unfortunately I haven't had the honor of meeting many of my kin. My grandfather...well so the tail goes, my grandfather had his life saved when he was in a bar picking a fight with someone he should not have been fighting with. An unknown man saved my grandfather from being killed on the spot and in return pledged an oath to return the favor at any given time.

Now I gotta ask ... have you ever met John McIntosh of McIntosh? (Your Chief) I understand he is a high school teacher and still lives in the estate of the clan seat .
One day when my father was about 15 years old, my grandfather received the call to repay his debt. He then mistreated my grandmother to force a divorce and went on about his way. The man that saved him was tied in with some kind of organized crime so we assume that my grandfather had to go kill a man. Since he left, we have yet to hear from him. I have met many of the MacKinlay's from my grandmother's side though.

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
