Went out in public for the first time kilted on Sunday.

I picked up my brother (20 yrs old) and when he gets in the car we start BS'ing about random things. After a couple minutes of silence, he says "Why the ____ are you wearing a kilt?"

To which i reply, "Um, because I wanted one."

His reply: (with a shrug) "OK."


We get to our destination, a local trading card / comic shop (i'm a big nerd. i get it. but stay on point!) i get a couple weird looks. One guy (younger than me) says he likes the kilt. he and i get in a discussion about his high school (and another close by) denying Kilts at Prom when he was in high school.

Another guy there starts up about guys from UK being named "Shannon" and "Kelly" and wearing skirts.
Didn't care for him much.


Got to our parents house, my cousin was over with his 5 yr old son who looks at me strangely and says "Why are you wearing a skirt?" Damn kids.
