I had to explain to our recent guest, an exchange student from France, that I still get dressed (jacket and tie) to fly anywhere...she was wearing her sweats for the flight back home. I guess I'm just a person stuck in the sixties...traveling used to be an event and you dressed accordingly.

Everytime I go to the ball park I think of all of the generations before that attended games wearing suits, ties and those straw hats...I especially think of that when I see some slob with his @$$ hanging outta his baggy @$$ shorts.

I wore the kilt to a closing night reception for the exchange students and had to explain to someone that not only was this my "dressing up" option but it's the only thing that I have that's between jeans and a t-shirt and a suit...some of you guys go on about how much you dislike wearing jeans; I can't stand "dockers" type pants.

I would think that anyone would be honored to have one of us attend an event kilted...it show that we care enough to wear our very best.
