LMAO! That's too funny. I had a Southern wedding as well, but it wasn't quite that bad. Most people were dressed in their "after church clothes." My Uncle called me about a week ahead of time and ask me if he could wear his kilt to the wedding. It was a shock to many, but everyone loved it.

We got married at my Mother- in- Law's house out in the country. We were married on July 4th (so I wouldn't forget the date). It was catered by the Red Hot Porkers bbq team. Everyone likes bbq, right?

I was perfectly fine until they started setting up rows of chairs. I said to my mother in law, "Elaine, is the bottle of champagne in the fridge?" She said, "Yeah, let me get you a glass." I said, "No no, just bring me the bottle." I was tipsy at my own wedding and lost my shoes (flip flops), so I was married barefoot.
