So would Mrs flyv65: pray tell, Alan, where one might find such an item...are stitching these up or is there a website I need to peruse? Actually, all of them on the first page were pretty spectacular; a link would not go unused.

Just look through the Butterick, McCalls and Simplicty on-line catalogs or just go to your local fabric store and look through the pattern catalogs. You won't find stuff that's quite comparable to the more "spectacular" top I listed, but the blue one...there's stuff like that in there.
