NOTE...thers' a fashion trend out there, which is a "kilt" with a wide swatch of tartan fabric laid out on the bias, across the hips. This is called a 'billie skirt"... or "billie kilt".

Look closely at that skirt. That is NOT the same thing as a mini kilt, but some vendors call them the same thing. Personally, and this is just me, I hate billie skirts, I think the crosswise strip of material looks awful, but if you like it, go for it. Billie skirts tend to be for the younger set, but this place is about wearing what you want, so.... If you look aroun donline you can oftentimes find tartan billie skirts on sale.
Also if th elady really wants a kilted skirt but is on a budget, LOOK ON EBAY....I said Look on ebay!... you w ill not believe the ridiculoulsy low prices for secondhand, *Gorgeous* kilted skirts.
