I love HDG kilt sox, but I've had to do two returns when they were inconcsistent. I got htree pairs of cable-knit. the khaki ones were perfect. came to mid-thigh on my long legs and I got three full turn-downs. The red and black were about 2-3 inches shorter than the khaki, unstretched, smaller in the foot, and restrictive oever my normal to thin calves. I sent both those pair back and one of the khaki socks for Ron H. to compare for replacement. Fingers crossed, but even with the 2x shipping costs these socks are a DEAL.
