You sure it's not from a pipe band? Looks like a mix between English and Scottish...

It's a unique look isn't it..... I believe that musicians wear spats and horse hair sporrans. It looks like a mismatch combination outfit to me.
I assume the kilt tartan is Black watch as it's so dark.
Anyone care to make an educated guess?

Neither the British, or Canadian Armies permit beards, so he's probably with a Pipe Band.

I see this has already been resolved. On the beard issue, I've just put a pic in my thread in Kilt Pics of 2RCR and the one soldier is bearded. 2RCR are soldiers first, only two are hired civilians (the two main people, I forget their titles).
