New Sport - Dog Scootering (Kilted, of course)
A good freind has a sweet, but very strong and restless Pit Bull. Being full of energy, Izzy (the Pit Bull) wears my friend out fairly quickly on walks. So she did some looking on the internet and found a gent that makes Dog Scooters. essentially, they are like sidewalk scooters, only bigger and with an arm and harness setup for the dog. (In competetion, Pit Bulls have been known to pull up to 2000 lbs). It took Izzy a few tries to get the idea, but after she caught on, my friend now uses the hand brakes regularly. She mentioned this to me and being male and a lover of speed, I volunteered to give it a go.
It was a blast to hang on and feel the power of this dog going all out. It was almost like being a dog and experiencing it. Great fun!
The first pic shows the scooter and harness arrangement.

We did that with my wife's dog, a 130 lb malamute. He loves it of course, but his hips are going bad so no more for him.

My dog is a 95+ pounds of muscle.. He'd go like hell for a block or two, and then lay down, right where he stood. He's so laid back, he's almost in reverse!!

That is the same thing I was thinking. I have a 90lb auxillary carpet for a dog.

Sounds like my pit/boxer mutt Guinness. He can actually get out a solid 15 minutes of playing if he's had a 23 hour and 35 minute nap that day. 
I'd bet he'd love a scooter like that.
