Hey Ken! Welcome! I don't know if you ever get down to the D/FW area much, but we have a large and growing kilt presence on this forum, and are always looking for new people! I'll direct your attention to the kilt night forum where we are planning an event on June 6th (Yes, I realize this might not work for you, but on the off chance that you could make it, the invite stands!). Actually, it will probably be a first wednesday of the month thing that we get started.

I'm overwhelmed by the welcoming responses! Thanks to you all! I do certainly look forward to spending plenty of time around these forums and learning all I can; I appreciate everyone's suggestions and will take them all to heart.

And to Lambda and Rowdy Red, I would love to come out to the Kilt Night at Tipperary Inn. My wife expressed an genuine interest, too. However, gasoline prices being what they are, and with two small kids (8 months and 3 years), June will most likely be out for me. If the Kilt Night takes off - and the place is at all kid-friendly - then I'll shoot for the one in July or August. (I should have a kilt built by then, too; I'd be kilt-less at the one in June.)
