Fez or No Fez, HELP PLEASE ?????

Fez like headgear was very popular in the UK in Victorian times, both in the military and civilian. Crimean War and Egyptian fashion influences.
Worn slightly tilted...like a glengarry.





I had this one made for me years ago, cross stitched blood red velvet, black tassel.

My suggestion is to wear the fez but substitute a solid or subtly patterned or striped necktie for the tartan one. I think that the tie is too busy with the kilt and the fez.
