The most important rule is wear what you're comfortable with. Black shirt with a black watch kilt is fine; as is white. In fact, all of the options you've presented fall well within the realm of acceptable. Remember, you're not putting on a costume, or adhering to a dress code -- you're just getting dressed.

After all the reading I have done here, I hoped these are all good choices. At some point in my kilt wearing I am sure I will do all of the above. I guess I am trying to decide on my first time.
