I think the mainstream doesn't have good enough legs to wear a kilt.

    *cough*

    Don't sweat it.

Modern fashion models probably aren't strong enough to wear a tank for the camera. We're safe.

...and so it came to pass that a humble scallion did set in motion a great revolution that rocked the world of fashion. Kilts became the mainstay of men's attire for the next thousand years. Though it may be coincidence , some say that this small conversation was the harbinger of the great era of peace and prosperity that followed.

The Earth witnessed a thousand years of kilts and peace. Until one day a distant descendant of Highlandtide had an odd notion of fashion rebellion. Hank's scion started wearing a different style of garment. He found others of a similar mind and created an holo-telepathic group consciousness bubble on the global mind wave to share their experiences. He called his bubble “Terrific Trousers” a place for others who enjoyed the comfort of pants . But that is another story…

    Cheers

I really do not see the artical as a bad thing. More acceptance might mean more of us being able to wear then at work .... eventually
