Great pictures, and nice detailed review. The only thing I was curious about is how much did you actually end up spending on the Kilt? I know you broke down the sporran price and a few other things I think, but I was just curious how much you paid for the kilt. Again thanks for sharing!

Bill, it looks nice and I think you've covered it well, especially how you think it is suited for around town, dinner out, etc. An observation someone passed onto me a number of years ago about dressy shirts: When you have a shirt you like and it's cut too full in the body, have a tailor taper it down for you so it doesn't puff up above the waistband. They do this either by opening the side seams and resewing them (preferred) or by putting darts in the rear. It does wonders, and the cost is worth it for a nice shirt.

Thanks for sharing with all of us, this is what makes a community!

    Bill,

All I can say is that you look great in that kilt. I hope I look as good when mine comes in. Looks like a great value. Makes a pretty good "do" picture.

    keepofgrass,
Thanks for the review. I'll defintely consider Frugal Corner if I decide to get a less expensive kilt. Your kilt looks pretty darned good, from the pictures I'm not able to tell that it's a non-wool kilt.

To me, it looks like it's pleated to strip, but to two different stripes. It seems to go double white line, single white line - I really like how it's been pleated.

    Congrats on the new kilt.

You've got me convinced. Customer service is very important to me (it seems to be a dead art). My next kilt is definitely coming from Frugal Corner.

by the way your pics are on his website now. (you're famous!)
