Why not have a look at the Weatherd Lamont at www.stillwaterkilts.com while you wait those long (and well worth it weeks I hear) for the one from Matt. It could be a nice introduction and a kick around kilt when your custom made one shows up. From what I hear of Matt's kilts you won't want to take it off.

Colin, thanks I may just do that. Don't know if I'm going to be able to handle the wait - may have to go into therapy or something. Keeping myself busy by adding acessories and such. Making my own flashes, sgian, and sporran. When all is finished and together I'll post some pics.

I think most of us here did that very same thing. I know I had the sporran, the hose, the flashes, the sgian dubh, etc,etc before my first kilt showed up. It helped the waiting process. Good luck.

Welcome from east Tennessee. My family name also has a connection to the Lamont clan but I fear the blood connection is a little tenuous to say the least.
