I will be there on Friday 6th to set up our camp site.
Most likely will leave Sat. and then return on Tuesday or Thursday.
depending on work.
We usually camp in the area above the cold water showers.
Again we put out a lot of flags including a red can Wallace flag.

I just drove through Linville and stopped at the GMHG office to get tickets for Saturday. Who should be there in the office but Donald MacDonald himself. He is the co-founder of the Grandfather Mtn. games, and without him the whole "games" tradition in the US would be very different today, if not entirely nonexistent. He spotted the MacDonell crest on my polo shirt and we had a delightful conversation. What an unexpected treat.

As of now, we plan to be there on Sunday. Have we set up a meeting place/time yet? I think I'll bring a bottle of Bruichladdich with me. Maybe we can get together and have a nice whisky tasting, huh?

Hope to see all who attend Grandfather this weekend. I'll be manning the Fraser tent Friday, Saturday and Sunday and may not get much of a chance to roam but please stop by and say hello. We'll be near the main entrance somewhere around tent 14 or 15 as you walk to the right. The weather forecast is looking a bit iffy right now but up on the mountain you have to be ready for anything, any time. See ya there!
