I was very moved standing in that place. Other than a piper playing, those there were very quite. It's one of those places who's history overwhelms you just standing there, even apart from the absolute beauty of the place. As mentioned, pictures hardly do it justice.
As for the weather, I think I would have been disapointed had it been sunny. As it was, our entire trip we had rain every day, with rare periods of intermitent sun, and the temps were between 54 and 68 degrees F.
