    The weaponry in the photo does make it a bit costumish, but my first kilt (pictured) did come from a renaissance faire. Since then, I've been wearing them to the university and to friends' houses, usually with boots and a t-shirt.

    Does anyone recognise the tartan? I didn't think to ask when I bought it, and my later research didn't find any exact match (though "Gala Water Modern" comes close, it's not perfect).. A close-up, brightness enhanced, is here:
