DamnthePants I would suggest that you look at the Eaton jacket at Uniformwearhouse. The cost is about $40 and requires little effort. I could be worn right out of the mail.

    Don't forget to send pictures.

Missed this thread. Just posted on a newer one.

Because my body size isn't near off the rack jackets, even with Short and Long adjustments. I paid for a made to measure argyll jacket, well actually two now. They're made by Lochcarron and sewn to my measurements.

I ordered through Kathy Lare of Kathy's Kilts. Very pleased. Cost was $334. Very fair for a made to measure jacket.

If your size is "different" from the most common, why not order a made to measure through someone like Matt or Kathy and get it done so it fits?

One again a bunch of great ideas from the rabble.

Cacun, thanks for the link to www.myowntuxedo.com what a great deal!

So the question for everyone, or anyone who has the knowledge. Can we convert a full dress tail coat into a PC? Will the coat be too short? Will the back be ok?

This is a new adventure and I'd like to do it as right as I can on lite budget. If I do this right I may be able to afford a conversion PC and a conversion Argyle

Thanks for the help and continuing education.

    Cheers,
