I wear kilts sometimes to work. I am a network admin for a small community college. Everytime I wear one, there is this female that works in another deptment that asks me everytime, "Where's your bagpipes?" Little does she know that they are right beside my desk so I can go out on our athletic fields during lunch and practice. This individual is one that causes alot of problems for my deptartment and will say things pretty off color at time. The other day, I got thet same old tired question, "Where is your bagpipes?" I just replied "under my kilt!" Her jaw dropped. I was going to add "why? Are you looking for lessons?" but, she is not one to play fair and would say something, even though she will drop statements like that in a heart beat.
It is pretty stereotypical, most only see pipers in kilts and that is what they associate it with. Some are just ignorant and they need to be enlightened. Others, are just "smarta**es and ,well as Ron White says, "you can't fix stupid".
Ha ha count me in the group of guys that like drowning out the "c"Rap with my pipes CD's, I get alot of weird and disgusted looks from them, I love it!
