From what I understand it needs new blood and that's what I'm trying to provide. Except for me and a couple other guys around my age (I'm 40) most of the members are older, around retirement age or above, and while they still enjoy it, they are unable to do alot of the things they used to do, especially regarding the running of the festival. They are trying to find someone to be the chairman so we can get it going for 2008. I'm helping the athletic chairman with planning that part and will also help with vendors and clans.
I'm hoping to stir up some interest and maybe eventually we can start having more small, casual events that will draw other people into the society.
And if you plan on being up this way let me know, we'll have a kilt night.
