Actually, I suspect it's Dad's positive influence on his son. Dad wears his kilt with confidence, so son just emulates Dad. Nonetheless, I applaud the two of you! The parents for their excellent handling of the situation, and son for dealing with questions and a new situation with aplomb!

It is good to hear your son wanted to wear his kilt to school, James. And Im glad you were supportive of his choice. (My mom still refers to my wearingof the kilt as just a 'phase'. And my grandfather makes fun of it. Funny enough, it's his families tartan.)

I am so glad the wee one's day was a success
Agree with other posted sentiments that dad's confidence in kilt wearing paves way. Also, it just goes to show how open and accepting children are compared to so many adults.
