The Queen Victoria School in Dunblane Scotland was founded for the sons of servicemen. The uniform was always kilts and tweed jackets with white shirts and school ties. In recent years girls have been allowed into the school also and wear the same tartan in skirts.

It was always a hallmark of the town that the pupils were seen walking in their kilts and a fine sight it was too. They have their own pipe band and also a highland dancing team.
