I just got back from doing some grocery shopping, it's funny it seems you just can not please all of the people all of the time. I bumped into a guy around my age and we started talking about the kilt, English Premiere League Soccer, wearing the kilt to weddings, etc. it was quite an enjoyable talk. Then he introduces me to the older women he is with he tells me she is from Scotland, here is where it gets interesting; so here is how our conversation went:

Older Women "You're wearing your kilt?"
Me "One of them."
Older Women "Shopping?"
Me "Yes"
Older Women "What tartan is that, it's not that I'm colour blind, I just can tell"
Me "It's the X-Marks the Scot tartan"
Older Women "Whats that"
Me "It's an on-line forum I belong to"
Older Women "I see....Your not wearing your Family tartan?"
Me "No, it's at home"

If you were to hear the disdain in her voice well it was palpable, I walked away thinking you can't please all the people all the time. The cashier saw all of this, and she said well I like it, did you know there was an article in the newspaper today. I said that I knew about it but had not seen it yet, then she gives me a paper, mind you they sell the paper as well. I guess it was the power of the kilt with her, all in all I guess it was a normal day kilted.
