Yes thanks for posting PiobBear, Lest we Forget. The anniversary has been rather muted this year - the annual Battle of Britain open day at RAF Leuchars was not held this year as they are re-surfacing the runway to accommodate the new Typhoon Eurofighters.
The tragic crash of a display Hurricane in Kent, England, yesterday, with loss of the pilot's life, has also put a damper on things this year.
I was on duty at our aviation museum today at Carlisle Airport and we had unusually few visitors - though it was a very wet and windy day here.
We did have the Vulcan opened for viewing today, with RAF World War II veteran Newby Tate in charge of the guided tours.
