Well, I AM 17, and since the last time I was in my birthday suit in front of my mother I have, in fact, gone through many physical changes; this is a transition commonly referred to in the medical and scientific professions as "puberty," or sometimes as "adolescence."

Going to have to disagree with this sentiment.

You should always be prepared for any eventuality. However, the plan should be towards prevention not acceptance.

If you can see an accident coming and did nothing to prevent it, then it happened on purpose.

Certainly, there are strong winds, bad dogs, awkward lifts and strange friends, etc, Sometimes I think the conversation gets too comfortable and looking forward to exhibitionism. At that point, we part company.

RB, it's just part of the deal. You handled everything beautifully, I think. You can't buy class, and your hosts were strictly members of the lower variety.

I agree that the best thing to do is laugh it off. I now always go regimental (unless there's a very good business reason not to), so if someone gets a peek at my butt, well there you go!

Of course if a really pretty lady just has to have look, well . . .

It doesn't bother me too much unless there are children around. If someone REALLY wants to look at my fat butt then they are welcome to it. It would be polite if they asked first though.

I wonder what someone would do if they lifted your kilt and you turned around and dropped their pants to their ankles?

In the past couple of weeks I have met some of the rudest people I have ever come across. One female (I cannot call her a lady) lifted my kilt as soon as Iwalked into a bar, without even speaking to me. She lifted it so high everything was exposed. The head barmaid went over to have a word with her as she saw it. Then in the street on another occasion a girl of about 16 years lifted it after a short conversation in which I would not answer "the question" and I told her not to do that. She did it again !

I agree with you David, this is not to be counted as acceptable conduct from the female section of our community ( nor the men).

I find that I am becoming more intolerant of the females who just find out for themselves, and one day I will be using my legal defence of self defence when I whack one of them.

Rudeness exists, we can't change this. Rude things will happen to all of us eventually. We can decide how we choose to deal with it. It is my hope that the people on this forum can remember to remain the ladies and gentlemen of X Marks the Scot when that time comes.

I went to a neighborhood BBQ on Friday night to welcome all the returning snowbirds. Naturally, I wore my kilt, dressed down for the occasion. The women loved it and made motions as if fanning themselves because it's such a "sexy" look. One of my male neighbors was standing next to me as I drank my wine and socialized...he then proceeded to lift my kilt!!!! I brushed his hand away, put my arm around his shoulder and said in a very loud voice, "So, Rod, do you enjoy looking at male genitalia?". He turned beet red and said, "I figured the ladies would like a look", as his wife looked on with a scowl on her face. I wasn't going to let that one go without challenging him. No one else said anything untoward. I'm getting people used to seeing me in my kilt so I don't expect too many wierd reactions. Cheers!

Just to string this along a little more...Late this summer I went to a local event called Summertime Brews Festival. I wore my kilt along with a t-shirt that says "It's a kilt. If I wore something under it, then it would be a skirt" (See picture). Needless to say, I was very popular...many people wanted a picture...a lot of girls wanted pictures with me. Well, as the evening went on, more and more decided that they needed to check. So several groups of girls ran up, grabbed, and lifted. After a while I just went with it. Got more than a few "Nice's", or similar. Of course, I used it for an opportunity to respond with "Okay - you saw mine...my turn" It was also reciprocated. Turned out to be a good night

What do you expect when mixing beer, kilts, and women!
