    They're alright, but nothing spectacular. I did hear some songs I'd never heard before through them though, so they've given me some stuff to try and find by other bands.

    I prefer Blackthorn over them. I'm a little biased as one of the members was a teacher at my high school when I first started listening to them. They are a good local to Detroit Irish Folk Band.

    I saw Blackthorn at Irish Fest this year, and they were fantastic! I wouldn't compare them to the Bards, seeing as how the Bards are more Renaissance-y and Blackthorn plays pub ballads (the best of all ballads, if you as me).
