Zardoz, I don't think you need the 'a'. Also, you can leave out the 'sum' and it's assumed to be there, which would take it down. But is 'sed', 'tamen' is, I believe, nevertheless. (I'm taking a postgrad Latin course right now). I can try a translation, but I don't have time right now. Have to work on Latin ;)
