Plaid in Texas
I agree Texas is usually pretty mild. Summers are HOT! I have lived here 4 different times growing up and in the military. I think Texas "not getting cold" is a misnomer. Unless you're from Tuktoyektuk Canada. I live in Houston and have spent the last 3 winters scraping ice off of my windshields in the afternoons and bundling up in coats. Galveston got enough snow to make snowmen in 2005. The first time it had snowed in 100 years. I guess I brought the cold with me in '04. I bet I could find use for the plaide. HA!

I can see using it.
I get made fun of all the time here when I wear my shorts (still working on first kilt), sandals, T-shirt and maybe a light jacket when everyone else is all bundled up. To me the 20s here in Michigan feel like the 40s in Texas. Crazy I know. Just how it seems to me.

they don't match
Interestingly, in all three of the pix, the links to which are posted above, none of the day plaids is exactly the same tartan as the wearer's kilt, although one, the green one here, http://www.scotsheraldry.com/Scotshe...ggansalute.jpg is close.
They all seem to be about 60 inches long, and have 3-5 inches of fringe on the ends that show. Are the other two sides fringed? How wide are they?

I want something like what he has. It's like a blanket-scarf, and it is awesome.
