Rex,
I ALWAYS respect fellow dog lovers. Truth is, at 57, I am preparing to leave this area of Georgia to return to the Blue Ridge Mountains around Asheville. We also have a Cairn Terrier and a Miniature Schnauzer. If we temporarily go to an apartment, the far smaller ones would adapt well, but the Airedale has already been cramped in a suburban lot...she needs room to BE an Airedale. My hope was that here, at least I might find her a new home that will take care of her responsibly and that I would know where she is going. I wouldn't even consider an ad in the paper or the net. The Airedale is one of the finest breeds ever, both for loving and devoted companionship as well as for incredible discernment and intelligence for taking care of a family. This one is young and still at that age where she would be able to adjust to a new home. My great hope would be for some land in the country!
