I do wear a kilt daily, but it is mostly at home. I'm a retired old fart, so I don't wear kilts to work, unless you consider climbing on my old John Deere tractor and bush hogging the lower field as working in a kilt. I definitely don't go out in public as often as many, but I do occasionally wear a kilt when my wife and I go out to dinner, or to a movie. But, due to rising gas prices and being on a fixed income, those occasions happen a lot less now. Oh well, I guess that's the price of living in the country. Anyhow, here are my answers:
1) How often do you wear the kilt?
Daily
2) (If you wear it daily) What profession allows this sort of dressRetired Instrument tech
3) How does your significant other feel about it?
She doesn't say anything about the daily wear, but she has said I look good in kilts
4) How do you respond to people who question your motives for wearing the kilt?
I've never been asked
(I have a very good, very old friend (a girl) who just could not believe that I wear a kilt in public. She gave me a really hard time about it over dinner with other friends. I was really surprised at her reaction. None of my guy friends have reacted that way.)
5) Do you think kilts are becoming more popular?
Yes, I've been on this forum since 04, and it has multiplied in size by a factor of more than 5 in that 3 years
6) Do you really want them to be more popluar?
To a certain extent. I'd like to see more wear by men in the general public, but I'd hate to see the kilt adopted by rappers or something. And, (I'll probably get in trouble with the mods for this) I'd hate to see men's kilts adopted as general wear by women.
