1) How often do you wear the kilt? I have worn nothing else for 8½ years, and wore the kilt roughly twice a week on average for the previous 48 years.
2) (If you wear it daily) What profession allows this sort of dress? I am retired.
3) How does your significant other feel about it? Alas, there is now no significant other. We were together for 36 years - he was also a Scottish Country Dancer and kiltie from before we met. If he were still alive, he would obviously have no problems with my kilt wearing at all
4) How do you respond to people who question your motives for wearing the kilt? I have not been asked about my motives for a very long time - it is just accepted! Were I to be asked, I would probably reply: I wear it for comfort. (My Scottish 'heritage' beyond my grandmother is unknown and does not therefore hold a great deal of importance for me, although I have always felt more Scottish than English).
5) Do you think kilts are becoming more popular? Worldwide? Yes, mainly in North America but not in this part of the United Kingdom.
6) Do you really want them to be more popluar? Yes - although, if they were, I would be less of a 'celebrity' around here!
