Depends what you're in the mood for. Extra cold if I've just been playing football, regular if it's a cold winter night, and you just want a slow drink in front of the fire.

Guinness is my long time drink of choice, but having had it all over the world from Ireland to Japan I've genuinely not had a bad one, often a badly poured one, but not a foul tasting one.

Guess my take on it is kinda like Woody Allen's take on orgasms - never had a bad one.

I doubt anyone is saying that Molson or Labatt are any good at all. Creemore, now... well.

And who ever was talking about Murphy's, I personally like to alternate that and Guinness. Well and Smithwick's. If I'm lucky enough to be at a bar with all three, that is! And none of them warm, thank you very much!
If you can find a good beer store they may order it by the case for you. I did that with a German Black Lager, Kostritzer. In westminster, Md. I dont know the va sales laws.

See, here everybody thinks of Murphy's as "that thing trying to be Guinness". Beamish is "Guinness lite" and Smithwicks (pronounced Smit-icks) is, according to my friends, "the old man's drink". Carlsberg is used to wash off the pint glasses after hours, and Stella is what the lasses like. If you want a lager, you get Harp. Bulmers (outside of Ireland, it's called Magners) is good in the autumn, but once winter comes around the kids take to Paddys Irish whiskey. Bud and Coors Lite are kept on tap for the tourists, and the fanciest cocktail my barman Jerry (if you ever go to The Crane, say hi, he's great craic) will serve is a redbull and vodka, but it comes with a complimentary "look" and slow service...

You'd be surprised. I've spent time in Ireland with a guy who drank Bud because it was an import.
