But did no one notice that because of the power of the kilt, the kiltonaut needs no spacesuit? ;)

Martin the Martian is wearing his pleats to the front. Ha Ha.
And red hose with a green kilt…? Only at Christmas.
I wonder why Mars is dyed saffron?

That's Martin Martian's more famous brother but back then they used the twins due to child labour laws for filming. Think Olsen twins and the fact there were five Lassies and were all female!

Hey MacDougall,
The pic is actually just off the north end of Manson Mesa (the mesa Page is built on) on the trail to the hanging gardens.
I've had an unsuccessful so far push to change the name of Page to Mars to increase tourism...
If there are Martians and they are wise, one would imagine they'd wear kilts for comfort and a kilted Martian explorer would be well received.

Back in the 60's they tested the lunar rover around Sudbury Ontario because all the pollution from the mining up there killed all the vegetation for miles around leaving the landscape the closest thing to the moon's surface. They arern't actually proud of this and certainly wasn't a tourist thing. Fortunately the mining companies have changed their practices, the trees and vegitation is back but one can still see the rock that's etched black.
