I'd love to meet everyone at the December Kilt Night, but the place chosen, Stout NYC - which is directly across from Madison Square Garden - tends to get packed on an average day, and I'm afraid it's going to be MOBBED that Saturday. Here's why:
Turns out that on December 8th, there will be not one - but two major events at the Garden, with our Kilt Night sandwiched in between both.
First, there's a womens' basketball double-header at noon, followed by the Knicks-Philadelphia game at 7:30. The spillover from one Garden event alone makes for a tight squeeze at Stout, but with a double crowd...whoa!
So I think I'm going to pass on this one, but I'd like to attend the St. Andrews' event this Friday, the 30th, at West 44th St. So unless something unforseen pops up between now and then, I'm pretty sure I'll be there.

I understand. Two events? Wow! This is a constant issue with this location, but it was chosen precisely for that central location, since people are coming from three different directions outside the city.
Maybe when we get a really city-based group of kilters, other options will work.
Btw, are any of the people coming up to do some Christmas sightseeing, say along 5th Avenue, heading up to Rockefeller Center and seeing the tree, or something similar? I have an image of how the pic of a kilted gang in front of it might look.
