    Thanks Bruce,

That is one sharp looking tartan. I remember the original discussion. Its on my wish list officially now...crowded, but still a wish list.

    You wear it well too.

Very good-looking kilt! Wow! I have admired that tartan, too, and it's nice to see it made up so well.

With the wealth of talent on this board, I'm sure you could find someone to make you a HB blanket coat....

I like! Makes me wonder if there's a Zellers tartan!

Yes, and Home Outfitters too! I guess the Zellers kilt would be solid red, not tartan. The Zeddie sporran would be made of paper-thin red plastic with an irritating hole in the bottom!

Thumbs up Hudson Bay Company tartan

That is a gorgeous tartan, Bruce. Do you mind me asking where it was woven and in what weight?

The fabric in the HBC Tartan was a special order from Fraser & Kirkbright in Vancouver. It is in 16oz. Merino Wool.

The 31 meters I have are the only HBC Tartan in private ownership as I happen to have Gordon's private phone no. and he is the designer of this magnificent Tartan.

Usually the Bay Co. reserves this fabric for official licensees of The Bay Company only.

I have 19 meters available for either purchase or Freedom Kilts.

Oh great! There's no hope for me ordering one this close to Christmas.

Well, maybe you'll be able to get some more some time in the future...
