It does look good and a fine kilt, if you like it longer than wear it that way. It wouldn't work for me but I think your right it does remind me of a hakama.

James MacMillan,
Sounds good to me!
RCallan,
You trying to call me a slant eye?
The pockets and pouches work great. I love the slash pockets. The cargo pockets are a nice size, although they could be a bit larger perhaps. The rear welt pockets are a nice addition as well. If you're looking for places to stash stuff, Steve can set you up perfectly ;)
Alaskan Kilted Guy,
Thanks!
Arizona Scot,
Thanks. I think it works well for me, but yes, it's not for everyone. That said, the angle that all these pictures were taken at do make the kilt seem even longer than I think it really is. I'll try to get more pictures later.
Big Mikey,
Nice to hear from you! I hope you're doing well. I'd like to make it out to a Fraser Valley Kilts night sometime. I went to one Vancouver one, but unfortunately, theirs are on Thursday nights, which coincides with my ice hockey group.
Riverkilt,
You should see some of my Utilikilts, I had my wife do a screenprint on a couple of them and they turned out great. I'm also having some of our artist friends work on a couple and I can't wait to see how those will look.
Steve told me about your kilt when I placed my order, and I had a look. I think the colour works great, and when I saw yours, I knew I'd be happy!
Macman,
Thank you for the kind words. It's still all about the freedom!
Monkey@Arms,
Well, I never said I was fashionable. I just know what I like, and I know (usually) what looks good on me. Erm, maybe that's more like, I know what I feel looks good on me. If I'm happy with it, I'll wear it. Thanks!
Mike
