Didn't request the loops that way, they are alot closer, but no worries here. Rocky, I dropped off the fabric to my stepmother today, she'll be working on it over the holiday break, so I'll be sure to post picks of the tie when it's finished. Thanks Again!

That is one impressive kilt and you wear it well! I have three USAK semi-trads which are a little too lightweight for our winter temperatures, but get a lot of wear in the summer.
The Weathered Buchanan is just beautiful (it was my tartan choice for the only kilt I have ever tried to make for myself years ago, but never finished!). Seeng yours in the photos makes me think about ordering one from Rocky and Kelly, but it'll have to wait until I come over to the USA again to pick up as, having it sent to the United Kingdom attracts high import duties and taxes ......... unless one is VERY lucky!
Yes, I'm envious!
Take care,
Ham.

A great looking kilt. I like them when they're pleated to the sett.

That's one of the best-looking Buchanan's I've seen.
Don't forget X-Marks rule number 437/B, which states that

Wonderful looking Buchanan! The colors are fantastic. Not to hi-jack this thread but here is my USAK casual.

Ham,
I would LOVE to meet you in person and buy you a pint if you can make it out this way. However, should you choose NOT to, we can make it so that the import duty is less for you... AND the weak dollar should be a REAL enticing factor while shopping in the states! We've actually had a high number of UK tourists and have heard on the news that people from the UK (and Europe in general) are flying over to shop in NYC this Xmas season... the high end gifts aren't so "high end" right now with the weak dollar!
At least SOME good has come of this weak dollar trend...

Hi Rocky,
My apologies for not coming back to you immediately - life has been rather full, both before and during the Christmas period! I too would LOVE to meet with you and Kelly, but I cannot see myself getting to your side of the pond until the end of next year, and even then I will be in California. I'll have to look into the possibility of a stop-over in Philadelphia en-route to LA-LAX!!! And, hey! Whaddaya mean: " ....should you choose NOT to..."?!! I would NEVER choose NOT to visit you or any of my pals over there - it is only circumstances that could ever dictate that I do not visit!
Now, Rocky, what you are suggesting (or what I suspect you are suggesting) here is not, I think, for public discussion, and so I will be sending you an E-mail in a few days, or I MIGHT just call you next week!
Very many thanks, and
Take care,
Ham.
